The timber frames of the Shieling are exposed internally; a backdrop of non-combustible plasterboard both compliments the natural beauty of the wood and gives a class O fire rating. Treated, exterior timber cladding is laid over a reinforced breathing membrane to ensure a healthy, weather resistant and natural finish. This unique breathing wall minimizes internal condensation problems. Opening Velux windows offer excellent natural light giving this unique cabin an airy loft like feel while remaining warm and easy to heat in all seasons.
